I've not been knitting but 3-4 months now, and I'm already a curmudgeon. I'm tired of the One-Skein Wonder. If I see another one, I'm going to scream. I think it's ugly, and doesn't work well on most women over the age of 14.
I'm also tired of seeing kool-aid dyed wool. I'm tired of fun-fur boas, and fingerless gloves that are a tube with a thumb hole (but no thumb). Knitty, while somewhat cool, is *not* the greatest thing since sliced bread. If I see another "Branching out" scarf on craftster, I will scream. If I see another rah-rah cheerleading "I love everything about knitty" on the knitty boards, I will scream. If I see *ONE MORE* poncho disguised as an anything (capelet? really? looks like a poncho to me!)... argh.
I get grumpy when someone starts a new discussion about something that's not just on the board still, but something that was talked to death last week, but they didn't bother to do a search to see if anyone else had the same problem.
I'm probably alone in thinking that addi's are too slick, and not useful (especially for the way I knit). Don't get me wrong, they're wonderful for people who knit tightly, or for people who like circulars for everything. I just don't. I prefer double-pointed needles when I can get away with them. I don't think Magic Loop will save the world. I think knitting socks on two circulars would make me go insane.
Sigh. I'm already old and grumpy. Who needs a 30th birthday to remind them of that? [T - 30 days and counting]

If ONE MORE person asks about knitting on airplanes, I will go postal. I flew in December, did I post to 20 knit groups about knitting on the plane?
No. I went to the TSA website and found the answer for myself! (What a concept!!)
I'm also tired of yarn snobs who tell me that knitting with acrylic is a waste of my time and causes me to not be a real knitter. (Huh?)
I am tired of the lemming nature of knitters. Some days, everyone's blog is the same. Diversify, people! Try something different!

I lurk on craftster.com and the knitty board and knithappens. I'm getting tired of wading through the 'what's a yarn over, how do i read a chart' questions.
It's as if (a) this is the only site on the entire intar-web that they visit, and (b) they've never seen knitting terminology, and (c) they've never done whatever it is they're asking, or seen yarn or needles or knitted a single stitch.
and yes, the "can I take my needles on airplanes" should be just a pointer post to the tsa, and to other countries' versions. No new "I brought my needles to X before 9/11, but I don't know now."
Like the knitty board's "how do i keep my stockinette from curling" should be a closed post. "Short answer: you can't really. Long answer: try [some list of things]".
There are sites that show you exactly how to knit, purl, yarn over, ssk, k2tog, etc. There are sites full of tables of knitting abbreviations. Use google. If not google, use Yahoo, or if you're desperate, MSN search.
It becomes quickly upsetting to have to wade through the same inane posts over and over again. Topic: "Look at my osw!" Posts: "it's pretty!" "What yarn?" "Where's the pattern?" "I wear mine with this kind of shirt" "pretty!"
Sigh. I'm just grumpy, I guess.
